Edward Madden is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson selling and leasing residential and commercial real estate. Prior to joining S&D Real Estate, he had a successful 35 year career in the securities industry. His responsibilities included securities financing, liquidity management, risk management and various management and administrative roles. At JP Morgan Securities, he turned around the Mortgage Backed Securities Repo Book, making it the most profitable book on the desk.
During his time at UBS Securities, he set up the Mortgage Backed Securities Repo book, established new financing capabilities, traded a $30 billion dollar Repo book and helped the desk become Institutional Investor Magazine’s consistently top ranked Repo Desk on the Street, based on a poll of institutional customers.
Most recently, Mr. Madden was the first employee hired and was instrumental in setting up Pierpont Securities LLC, a fixed income broker dealer, filing applications with regulators, clearing banks, and the various clearing organizations. Once regulatory approval was obtained, he set up and co headed the Repo Desk. He was a member of the Liquidity Management Committee and the Interim Finance Oversight Committee which was responsible for the firm’s financial oversight during the CFO’s medical leave.
Mr. Madden has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Boston College and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
